What can your donation do for someone in need?
Your donation is crucial to providing tangible and meaningful gifts to those that need a brighter tomorrow. This is what sets Hands Off apart from so many other Charities. Over 90% of the funds raised through donations and fundraisers go straight to helping the survivors of sexual assault and family violence and their families. This mainly is given in the form of a voucher of the survivors choice. It could be a voucher for a family entertainment package, a day stress-free at no cost to them to the Movies, Bowling or even Jump Trampoline Centre. Some may choose a pamper voucher for a Massage, Beauty Treatment or Natural Therapies. Some choose broader vouchers such as Westfield or Coles Myer and therefore can use them to help with everyday expenses such as food, school supplies or petrol. Whatever their choice remember this small act of kindness can make a huge difference in someone's life.
In addition to the vouchers we also provide Care Packages for SECASA (South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault), Sacred Heart Mission and The Salvation Army to distribute that can be given to males, females and children. The care packages are just another way to show survivors and their families that there are people out there who care and want them to heal.
